Summer has officially arrived, and at Maxit Flower Design, we are absolutely here for it. While the temperature might be soaring, the creative inspiration in our studio is even hotter.

There’s a common misconception that spring gets to have all the floral fun, but summer brings a completely different kind of magic. It’s a season of untamed growth, shifting light, and a vibe that balances effortless elegance with a laid-back, sun-drenched mood. Here is a look at what is shaping our design philosophy this season and how we are bringing the essence of summer into our latest work.

Designing with Seasonal Movement

Summer gardens are wild, reaching, and beautifully unpredictable. This season, we are moving away from tight, symmetrical structures and instead letting the stems dictate their own direction.

Our summer aesthetic leans heavily into asymmetry and negative space. By allowing individual elements to arch, twist, and reach outward, the arrangements feel alive—as if they were captured mid-breeze in an open field rather than styled in a vase. It’s all about mimicking the way nature grows when left to its own beautiful devices during the peak of the year.

Sourcing from the High Summer Harvest

Instead of forcing a look that belongs to another season, we believe in celebrating what is naturally thriving right now. We are constantly looking to local fields and the current peak of the harvest to give our events a distinct sense of time and place.

  • Focal Statement Stems: We are sourcing oversized, intricate seasonal blooms that act as singular focal points to anchor the entire design.

  • Dancing Accents: We love incorporating light, whimsical stems that create "floating" layers, dancing just above the rest of the arrangement.

  • Foraged Elements: To truly ground our designs in the season, we are weaving in unexpected elements straight from the garden, like trailing vines and branches heavy with summer growth.

Maxit Pro-Tip for Hot Weather Flowers: > If you are keeping fresh arrangements at home during these warmer months, placement is everything. Change the vase water every single day and keep your stems entirely out of direct sunlight and away from harsh AC vents to prolong their lifespan.

Let’s Celebrate the Season

Whether you are planning an intimate backyard soirée, a dramatic corporate gathering, or a full-scale summer wedding, we want to bring your vision to life. Summer moves fast, but the impact of a beautifully curated space stays with your guests long after the sun goes down.
