the drama

Several months ago the amazing planner extraordinaire Christina, from Pomp & Circumstance, helped me execute a vision that I have had for several months.   I was completely inspired by this seasons floral prints like this one in the pic.  ->

Sometimes it just takes a textile print to get this girl inspired.  The prints are so girly, so feminine and yet the dark edge allows some masculinity to sneak in.  Christina gathered an A-list team and what happened was magic.

Take a look at the feature on Junebug for more details on all the vendors, as they did a wonderful job linking everyone of the contributors.  (And yes! I am taking the easy route, I wasn't in the mood to link everyone)

a little calligraphy

Any chance we get to meet with other creatives is an amazing day.  Yesterday was one of those days.  We got a chance to set up some adorable flowers for Ashlee's (of Sugar and Cloth)  first workshop in her new space.  She hosted the very talented Laura Hooper of Laura Hooper Calligraphy, if you happen to not know who she is go check her out HERE.

You must take a look at both of these creative's work.  They will inspire you, encourage you and give you some motivation to make things pretty!  Here are some of my pics, but we'll follow up with some pics from the professional in the next couple weeks.

the scaglione's

We're sharing our favorites from one of our recent weddings.  We shared her bridal's several weeks ago and now we can finally share the images from her beautiful wedding.  Ann Marie had a very classic southern taste but she also had a flair for the dramatic.  She wanted everything to be splashed in coral and set the tone for a spring wedding.  Taking her style into consideration and her short wish list, which included these three particular looks, this is what we came up with.

this is how we play

It's amazing how even when I want to relieve some stress, I turn to flowers! I'm starting to believe that I am truly obsessed.  On top of the 10 year obsession you add a new fancy camera that photographs the flowers as close to reality as possible.

I have to admit I'm loving creating mini photo shoots in our space.  The hard part is deciding what images to share.  Hope you like the ones I've chosen.

We are coming to the end of ranunculus season and I had to take full advantage of the gorgeous ones while they last!
