this lady is rockin

We have to give a little shout out to one of our favorite calligraphers in town. Figured today would be an excellent day for that as today is her birthday!! Kristara from Kristara Calligraphy, and I met through her attending my flower design class that later developed a bond as business owners and creatives.  I feel so fortunate to have her as a creative bestie and look forward to many me collaborations we have up our sleeves.   For now I have to share some of these amazing pics we put together on a fun play date we had a couple weeks ago.

sometimes I have to slow down

With the pile of emails just building up and making me insanely anxious, I have to take a moment and enjoy these images.  This bride was one of those brides that every designer dreams of! She had a vision, but made sure I knew that she trusted me to make everything look amazing.  Something about people trusting your designs that makes you truly produce your best work.  

When there aren't the limits of 'this Pinterest pic' or 'I must have this flower', I believe that the client then gets an artist's work.  They will get the designer that is excited about creating the arrangements, not the designer anxious to make sure everything is exactly where they expect it to be.  But everything is exactly where it should be.  There is actually a difference.  And that difference is seen in this wedding.

Very proud to be a little part of this.  Also enjoyed seeing a little cameo of my lovely boyfriend, who without him, none of this madness would ever be possible.  He is one of those people in the background that you never hear about but truly make it all happen.

After several days of rain, Houston skies opened up and gave us one of the most gorgeous days we have had this year.  And it couldn't have happened at a better moment that to make this day just perfect for the sweetest of couples! 

Allie has been the sweetest bride to work with and has truly trusted that our design capabilities would come together with her vision to create something she would love.  Her heart was full of love and her mother was exactly the same.  Super gracious, polite, trusting and truly a gem of a client.  They are dream clients and I could't have been more excited to have been chosen as their flower designer!

We are super thrilled to share some of the first pictures released by their photographer.  She and her hubby look like they could explode in hearts and sunshine.  We loved worked with them and only hope that they will have yearly anniversary parties that we can be a part of.

it's going to be a fun one

We've slowly been receiving product day by day for a very fun wedding we will be having this weekend.  Blush and white have seen it's day.  I love traditional wedding, they truly have a special place in my heart as I am a very simple person.  BUT, what designer doesn't LOVE to be challenged with their design.  For the past couple of month we have had the pleasure of working with the hardest working nurse we know.  And she happens to have the most adorable name, Dannie! 

She exemplifies this fun loving name to the T.  We met once and she trusted me from the get-go. Every designers dream job.  So now here it is, her wedding is this weekend and we couldn't be more excited about creating something gorgeous for her.
