Houston’s Revaire played the modern industrial stage for this garden style rubies upon garnets wedding for Kyndall & Josh.

One of many design elements that were so fun for our team to attack included a freestanding classic garden arch paired with an extremely modern white stage giving the visual juxtaposition of free floating garden structure in the middle of geometric clean crisp backdrop.

The color scheme was nothing short of stunning with deep crimson, garnet reds on full display with an array of garden roses and peonies - pops of pink topaz and champagne tones from one of our favorite rose varietals quicksand- accents of deep emerald smilax vine and wispy textured tones of sage from stuartiana eucalyptus.

We created a lush “garland” which for Maxit means a table dressing completely packed full of florals to create a dimensional table runner with moments of high low, hidden and unexpected -one would find in a flower bed. The long feasting tables were off set with more intimate rounds crowned with our showy signature compotes chalked full of blooms sent flying and tucked low.

Our couple and guest spent the night dancing to live music under a canopy of smilax vines with delicate orb candles dancing over their heads.

spice tones and the changing of the season

Nothing so lovely as the change in the slight weather shifts here in Houston, leaves gently falling with splashes of warm colors and an ever so slight temperature change that tells us time is passing.

October’s nuptials for Chelsea and Forrest was no exception to the idea of seasons- highlighting the subtle and bold color transitions that come with Fall. The designs that tied the florals to the event kept this motif in mind.

Our floral design team was incredibly excited to work with the garden inspired modern romantic designs for Chelsea, but also to play with what would be one of our favorite color palettes of the season.

Houston Country Club played host to this intimate 2020 gathering with some of the most noteworthy vendors and colleagues in the area coming together to create the romantic details that were so important to the couple lead by Belle Events.

The team utilized the indoors of the entry to showcase a lovely escort card vignette framed by the lovely River Oaks Country Club existing toile wall treatment - made ready to welcome guests with individual name cards by Mesh.

Our large asymmetrical welcome arrangement added drama setting the stage for the magic of the bride and groom’s Fall palette which our floral designs carried through from personal bouquets- to table tops- to interesting installations.

Chelsea’s color palette was nothing short of inspiring from turmeric and clove spiced foliage, mustard and toffee hued garden roses, and the extremely unexpected and lively lilac hues of purple that kept the design feeling airy and playful.

After sunset, guests were treated to dancing on a custom floor by Mike’s Dancefloors - a lovely scalloped lighting treatment added architectural features to the dining by 360 AV Design. Tabletops were dressed with rental items from Blooming Gallery and accessories from Your Butler’s Pantry.

A couple of months ago we got together with some of our favorite industry creatives and had a fun day of shooting some fall inspired vignettes. Even though the weather is still warm in Texas, we want our brides to be inspired by the beautiful, rich tones of the fall season. We definitely are! The styled shoot was held at one of North Houston’s newest venues, Arrowhead Hill. We incorporated several different textures, metals, blooms, velvet linens, and seasonal fruits to achieve our vision for our fall tablescape. Our team truly enjoyed being creative partners on the design of this project.

romantic meets modern

Whew! What a year it has been. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has thrown a wrench in the wedding plans of many couples throughout this year. Couples have had to pivot and change everything from their wedding date, venue, guest count, and honeymoon plans. Micro weddings have become the latest trend as couples have had to downsize their guest lists from 250+ attendees to 25 (or fewer) in order to follow their local COVID-19 ordinance. Even some of our own clients have reimagined their wedding day and decided to move forward with hosting an intimate reception at their family homes or ranches (it’s Texas, y’all). We love the idea of hosting a beautiful soirée under the stars in a location that is special to you and your loved ones. We hope this styled shoot provides you with some inspiration for hosting your own event whether it be a grande gathering or intimate celebration.

When designing a tablescape there are a variety of different elements that you can incorporate to achieve your desired look. Once you select your color palette you can begin to bring in different linens, glassware, candles, chairs, light fixtures, and blooms to create a cohesive design. These are some of the elements we considered when designing the editorial shown in the images below. Over the summer we partnered with Kiran and Leigh Bespoke Planning to produce a styled shoot for the season between late winter and early spring. We were inspired by garden parties and watercolor tones. The combination of the floral table linens, premium garden-style arrangements, wishbone chairs, and hanging pendents helped us achieve a look that is romantic with a modern edge.

It’s finally beginning to feel like Fall here in Houston; and I couldn’t be more excited to wear a cozy sweater and indulge my pumpkin spice latte cravings. Even though our fall wedding season is in full swing, I still find myself reminiscing and reflecting on our events from this past summer. While I can’t wait to share the fun and beautiful moments from our October weddings, Mollie and Justin’s wedding at The Houstonian Hotel is a lovely reminder of the ever-changing beauty that each season holds. Our bride requested premium blooms with accenting greenery. Some of her favorites are Juliette garden roses, coral and white ranunculus, hydrangea, and peach ball dahlias. Our team completed the design with dusty blue taper candles and specialty linens from La Tavola Fine Linen.
