where do I even begin

What a whirl wind of events this Spring time has brought me. And we made it out alive!! And to think, this past weekend was my first weekend off since January! Yes!!! It's true.  At times I thought I might loose my mind and at other times I thought I was a worrier princess.  :-)  But when it all slowed down and really got a chance to reflect, all I thought was WOW! what an amazing life I have.  

I have an amazing career, clients, friends, vendors and new employee that joined me for the ride. I am one lucky lady.  And will gladly say that 'lucky' only because I have worked my tail off to make it all happen.   SO I know I have been so far behind, but there is so much to catch you up on.  

First, let me show you this beauty.  Deim & Gary were one of the kindest, trusting couples I had.  Their willingness to allow me to work my magic was a welcome change. (Ladies/Gentleman, my number one piece of advice to any one getting married or throwing an event: HERE IT IS: choose a vendor you love, and let them do what they love.  I promise it pays off.) Here is what we created for this sweet, beautiful, kind couple.

We couldn't be more excited than to have been contacted to create a day full of design and photography.  Julia, a bubbly, sweet and very talented business owner from Brazil, reached out to us to give her some secrets of the trade. She was looking to extend her knowledge base and learn a more garden based technique that is so very popular these days and proudly, Maxit Flower Design's signature design.  

So off we went, spending the whole day reviewing techniques on boutonnieres, corsages, bouquets, centerpieces and much more.  We took a break for lunch and had Kendall Hannah met us to style and photograph our work from the day.  Bellow are some of the amazing pics she captured.  After the full day of designing, I knew this was exactly what we needed to capture the day.  A super talented photographer to capture it all.

flowers and flourishes

This past weekend we hosted one of the first of many workshops and I loved it! Even though it was a lot of hard work, I loved seeing so many smiling face, loving spending a weekend doing something creative.  And then when the flower crowns were made and placed on each one of the ladies heads... oh my!!! I was like a proud momma! I think every young girl, lady, and woman needs to make her own flower crown and get an see herself in the mirror. There is something so girly, so feminine, truly unlike any other experience of femininity in the DIY field.  

So today we give you this sneak peak of this past weekend's festivities.  But I also leave you with the fact that there will be many more images of the event and a listing of the amazing sponsors that made it all happen.

How amazing is this sneak peak of a recent wedding we did in Brennan's of Houston?  This photographer has slowly made her mark in the Houston wedding scene and I have absolutely loved watching her business grow.  She has the most amazing, feminine eye that captures the bashful, hearts shooting out of her eyes, in love, gushy side of a woman that no man can capture.  She's a gem for the wedding community and only hope more of my brides book her before she is fully booked for her 2016 season.  Go take a look at more of her work HERE.

this past weekend

We felt so fortunate to have had this past weekend full of the two of the most amazing events.  An intimate wedding at Brennan's of Houston and then followed by a wonderful in-home workshop.  Today I'm sharing with you the pictures of this adorable, fun, playful workshop we had  for a group of high-school graduates. 

I had to take a moment in the middle of teaching this class to soak it all in.  These girls are embarking on the adventure of a life time and they have NO clue.  I remember those days when we were all hopping around from graduation party to graduation party with out any idea of what the future held.   And I distinctly remember seeing all the mother's having this look that I now finally understand.  It was the one I had, the one where we are so overjoyed and filled with anticipation of their innocence and their future.  

These girls were just so stinking ADORABLE!!! I loved every second of our time together and only hope they learned a little something about flowers and flower design.  Thank you Jennifer for allowing me into your families home and trusting me to teach those bubbly girls a little something creative.  I can't wait for many more in the near future!
